Finding the right coffee beans
• Let’s start with the beans, which is what dictates flavor profile the most
• We recommend grinding whole beans, not pre-grounds for the most freshness out of your brew
• Roast level should be medium to dark roast, offering more body and robust flavors
• Generally speaking, African beans like from Ethiopia tend to be more floral and fruitier, whereas Latin America beans from Brazil and Columbia have more nutty chocolate flavors
• Ex: Single origin, dark roast blend from Columbia with the usual nutty and dark chocolate tones
-
Grind Size
• Both electric and hand grinders work
• We recommend a medium coarse grind size (can go finer for a stronger flavor)
-
Brewing Recipe
• We recommend 30g of
coffee with 300ml of water. It
should be a good place to
start (1:10) ratio
• 12 min brew time (robust
blue light setting)
• Always remember to stir
before brewing
-
Taste Profile
• Smooth, sweet, and
mellow
• Less acidity and
bitterness
• Nutty, caramel, and
chocolaty undertones
• Can be enjoyed as is or
served with milk and ice
